MEDEC statement on appointment of Karimah Es Sabar as Chair of Canada's health/bio-sciences Economic Strategy Table

 

Toronto, Sept.29, 2017 – MEDEC, the national association representing Canada’s Medical Technology Companies, released the following statement from Brian Lewis, President and CEO, in response to the appointment of Karimah Es Sabar as Chair of the Government of Canada’s health/bio-sciences Economic Strategy Table:

“MEDEC congratulates Karimah Es Sabar on her appointment as Chair of the Government of Canada’s health/bio-sciences Economic Strategy Table.

Ms. Es Sabar’s extensive and wide-ranging global experience as an industry leader and as current CEO and partner of a venture capital firm focused on biotechnology and life sciences companies position her extremely well to lead the Table to tangible solutions that will grow this vitally important sector of Canada’s economy, while enhancing health care sustainability and improving patient care in our country and around the world.

We sincerely look forward to engaging with Ms. Es Sabar and the members of the health/bio-sciences table to bring forward opportunities from the perspective of Canada’s medical technology companies.
